Importance of self-actualisation

I believe self-actualisation is the most important goal we should strive not to overlook or give up on in our professional life. I think it should be in fact our guiding principle when we choose roles and organisations we work for.

#Selfactualisation is defined as the full realization of one’s creative, intellectual, and social potential through internal drive (versus for external rewards like money, status, or power).

I think it is a never-ending process as we rarely tap into our full potential early on in our life, usually we discover new layers of our #potential as our awareness grows and we gain deeper insight into our talent and #calling.

It is so important to allow oneself to succumb to this #drive to self-realise instead of seeking excuses not to do it. It is always entirely up to us and it does require courage. Following our own path will be faced by challenges and criticism- as we refuse to execute other people’s scenarios, but instead – create our own.
